COVID-19 vaccination and screening centers become permanent points of service
CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest is pleased to announce that the COVID-19 vaccination and screening center on Saint-Charles Avenue in Vaudreuil-Dorion is now a permanent point of service, and that various medial services will be offered to the population.
This announcement follows that of the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, concerning the deployment of over 100 new points of service in Quebec. Thanks to these new points of service, there will be more appointments available, and the public will be able to obtain an appointment more quickly.
For the moment, the following basic services are already available:
- vaccination against COVID-19, influenza and shingles;
- vaccination of 4-17 year-olds, trainees and healthcare workers, and pregnant women;
- updating of vaccination records - 18 years and over;
- screening or detection of COVID-19 and influenza;
- distribution of rapid tests;
- mobile vaccination, particularly in living environments and schools.
New services will gradually be added over the fall and winter months, including:
- vaccines under the Québec Immunization Program;
- blood, stool and urine sampling;
- group A streptococcus detection;
- other activities, as needed, including mobile services.
