Urban planning: Saint-Zotique wants to hear from its citizens
As part of the drafting of its new urban plan, the Ville de Saint-Zotique will be holding a workshop on October 10, and is inviting residents to take part.
The workshop is intended as a forum for exchange between citizens and Town representatives. Participants will be asked to give their opinions on a number of themes addressed at various discussion "round tables".
The aim of the meeting is to obtain the public's views on the proposed content of the next urban plan, and on the priority issues to be addressed in it.
What is an urban plan?
The urban plan is a planning document that establishes the guidelines for the spatial organization of the city. Its content includes elements required by the Act respecting land use planning and development.
The plan makes it possible to :
- Define intervention policies;
- Define a medium/long-term vision;
- Make known the intentions behind the control to be introduced to the regulations;
- Plan the location of various functions, infrastructures and facilities;
- Serve as a decision-making tool to guide land-use planning and development decisions.
The workshop will be held on October 10, at the Town Hall, at 7 p.m. Places are limited and reservations are not required.
