Île-Perrot by-election: a new candidate enters the race
A by-election is looming in L'Île-Perrot, following the departure of District 5 Councillor Kim Comeau. It is with great pleasure and excitement that Lise Gauthier enters the electoral race this Wednesday, September 20.
She wants to get involved in her community because she's concerned about meeting people's needs. She wants to learn from the municipal environment to serve her fellow citizens to the best of her knowledge.
A native of Île-Perrot, she has lived here all her life. "We're a beautiful community and I want to preserve our quality of life," she says. On a day-to-day basis, she has been working with customers of a dairy production expertise center for over 30 years, so she has learned to be a good listener.
Listening, being available and taking suggestions into consideration is her primary objective. As there are more and more exceptional situations and their management at municipal level is important, she would like to participate in the decision-making process. "Dealing with issues such as climate change, food security, lack of affordable housing or health crises is increasingly critical," she says.
Ms. Gauthier is at a point in her life where she is motivated by public service. She has no personal interest in becoming a councillor other than enjoying the quality of life she advocates and wishes to protect.
She would like to mention that she will promptly contact any citizen who leaves her telephone number.
As an independent candidate, she is her own authorized representative. To reach her, Lise Gauthier offers the following e-mail address: [email protected].
