The Soulanges High School U14 Pionniers lost 3-1 to École de la Cité-des-Jeunes in their first preparatory game.

The defensive brigade and two goalkeepers put in a great performance. It was a first for goalkeeper Charles-Olivier Leduc, who allowed only one goal despite numerous attacks. In attack, Léo Lepage was the only scorer for Soulange.

Special mention goes to Mathéo Lalonde, who also impressed with his patience in possession of the puck and in feeding his trio mates. In fact, his peers named him player of the game.

The young Pionniers will have a chance to bounce back in just a few days' time, when they take on Cité-des-Jeunes again, this time at home.
