In order to ensure the sustainability of its water supply, the Municipality has decided to acquire the private aqueduct system serving the Lucerne sector.
The benefits of this project are numerous, according to the municipal administration:
- Reliable, uninterrupted production of drinking water in the event of problems at one of the stations;
- Access to an additional underground water storage basin to increase the volume of water in reserve;
- Closer drinking water supply for the Upper Chamberry and Lucerne areas, which are served by a pipe several kilometers long;
- Maintaining aesthetic water quality for all citizens with a new aqueduct station equipped with green sand filters.
