Héma-Québec will be holding blood donor clinics in the region over the next few weeks.

Here are the dates and locations of scheduled clinics:

Thursday, September 21 and Wednesday, October 4:
Vaudreuil-Dorion: Opticentre Saint-Jean-Baptiste, 145 boulevard Harwood. Goal: 60 donors

We recommend that you make an appointment to donate blood. However, if you are passing by a blood drive and are available to donate, don't hesitate to check with the team on site to see if they can accommodate you.

Before giving blood

In the hours leading up to your blood donation, we recommend that you drink a minimum of 500 ml of water or juice and eat well, avoiding fatty foods. To make blood collection easier, wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up above the elbow.

You should also carry your donor card or proof of identity.

Strict selection criteria have been established if you wish to donate blood. To find out more about these criteria or to obtain further information, visit the organization's website.
