The Municipality of Les Coteaux invites its residents to take part in the Journées de la Culture, a not-to-be-missed artistic event to be held on September 29 and 30. This event aims to celebrate the richness of the community and promote artistic expression in all its forms.

The Municipalité des Coteaux is delighted to be taking part in the 27th edition of the Journées de la culture, which will provide an opportunity for the population to take part in a host of activities that will take them to the heart of their cultural and artistic practices.

Opening of Charles Leblanc exhibition

September 29 kicks off with the opening of artist Charles Leblanc's exhibition at the Édifice Laurier-Léger, from 5 p.m. onwards. The exhibition promises to immerse you in the unique universe of this talented artist.

At 7 p.m., Wilson Park will be the stage for an exceptional musical performance. The talented duo of Judy Hung and Dmitry Babich, featuring cello and piano, will enchant the audience with a spellbinding performance.

The evening continues at 8 p.m. with a screening of the short film "La liste des choses qui existent" at the Édifice Laurier-Léger. A unique opportunity to discover this humorous 26-episode series, based on the comic strip by Iris and Cathon, about everyday objects.

A full day of artistic activities in Wilson Park

On Saturday, September 30, starting at 11 a.m., visitors can explore a variety of media as part of the free, diversified program. Take part in a collective ribambelle workshop with École de Formation Artistique Isabelle Turcotte. At the same time, a painting workshop led by Manon Labelle will invite participants to unleash their creativity.

Let yourself be inspired by the creation of a collective mosaic under the direction of artist Monica Brinkman. Then plunge into the world of creation with a fluorescent collective work led by Philippe Corriveau.

Participants can explore the intersection of poetry and music in a poetry workshop by La culture en éveil, followed by poetic games. Then, get introduced to dance with a performance by the Troupe de Danse Chantal Marcil at the Édifice Laurier-Léger.

Finally, to round off the day in style, the Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Vaudreuil-Soulanges will perform at 7 p.m., for an exceptional musical moment.
