Le Versant offers workshops
Invitation to adults and young people suffering from anxiety disorders
Since June 2008, anxiety sufferers in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region have been counting on the help of Le Versant, a community organization and support network for people with anxiety disorders. Workshops for the fall session start the week of September 18, 2023. A few places are still available.
For adults
Regular workshops for adults are closed groups of 8 to 10 people maximum. They last 10 weeks, two hours a week, and are led by former participants who know and understand anxiety disorders.
The workshops take place in Vaudreuil-Soulanges, but people living in Beauharnois-Salaberry can also register.
Registrations can be made online at leversant.org, by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or by calling 450-801-8393. A representative will contact those who have registered.
Those interested in registering can do so on the waiting list. They will be notified as soon as the schedule is available and registration is open. They have priority over places and choice among the groups offered, before the announcement is made to the public.
The first adult workshop to follow is the Global Approach, where participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of anxiety and receive tools to better manage it.
The 2 other workshops offered this fall are
- Taming your emotions
- Communication and assertiveness
Younger children
Chantal Besner, an elementary school teacher in Vaudreuil-Dorion and a specialist in children's anxiety, will lead the workshop: Anxiety? Parents éclairés, for parents of anxious children, to help them better manage difficult situations.
An immersion workshop in nature is offered to children aged 5 to 11, separated by age group.
To join the waiting list, e-mail [email protected] or call 450-801-8393.
