Summer's not over yet, but the Ville de Rigaud is already preparing for the 2024 gardening season. With this in mind, we're calling on local residents to help fill the Grainothèque. This service, which takes place at the municipal library, consists of a free, subscription-free seed collection accessible to all. 

For the 3rd year running, the library is hosting and L'Escouade écocitoyenne hopes to replenish and enrich its collection in time for its opening on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Do you have extra seeds? Get involved and support this important civic initiative. Seeds must be grown without chemical fertilizers, be mature, reproducible and non-hybrid. They can be harvested from your gardens, or you can buy and donate them.

Accepted seeds: 

- Fruit;

- Vegetables;

- Flowers;

- Herbs;

- Medicinal plants;Seed deposit

To participate in the project, please fill in the information concerning the type of seeds directly on an envelope, or fill in the online form (paper version available at the library) and staple it to the envelope.

Here's how it works: 

- Place the seeds (well dried and cleaned) in the envelope; 

- Return the marked envelopes to the library (102, rue Saint-Pierre);
