Vaudreuil-Dorion's Esther-Blondin, Le 405, Paul-Gérin-Lajoie and Maison-Valois parks came alive on September 8 and 9 for the 2nd edition of the Festival d'arts vivants Errances.
During these two days, interested citizens and visitors were able to admire live arts - any mode of artistic expression involving a presentation by an artist in front of an audience.
In all, some twenty performances were offered, in addition to a closing show featuring numerous artists. Dance, song, theater, puppetry, storytelling, music, poetry, circus and more were on the program.
"Errances invites spectators to witness surprising artistic performances from all horizons. It's a completely different event from what we usually offer our citizens. For this second edition, we have chosen to invest four municipal parks on the shores of Vaudreuil Bay, allowing people to move easily and safely from one place to another," explained Chloé Marcil, Head of Culture and Community Life at the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, on the sidelines of the 2023 edition.
To set up this festival of the living arts, the town has enlisted the services of Thomas Duret as independent curator. Artist Tina Marais has also been commissioned to create the scenography for the event.
