"Desjardins Jeunes au travail" celebrates 18 young workers in the region
An evening of celebration was held in honor of the participants and their employers at the 5 à 7 event held on August 28 at Maison Trestler in Vaudreuil-Dorion. The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CJEVS), in partnership with Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, successfully concluded its innovative program.
Desjardins Jeunes au travail aims to encourage young people to experience their first summer job. The closing evening, hosted by Cinthia Bourgon of CJEVS, was marked by touching testimonials from the young participants and their employers,
Both groups highlighted the positive experiences and skills acquired throughout the program.
Youth pride and commitment
Pauline Thauvette-Leroux, President of the Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, was invited to speak at the event, and praised the pleasure of working with Carrefour Jeunesse-emploi de Vaudreuil-Soulanges year after year:
"The conditions have always been ripe for joint projects that promote the well-being of our young community. The services offered by the CJEVS are numerous, and continue to evolve in step with the needs of our young community. The organization has an accurate vision of community reality, and Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges is proud to be associated with it".
The 14th edition of the Desjardins Jeunes au travail program was a great success, enabling 18 young people in the region to land their first job, thanks to the collaboration of 15 committed local businesses. "It's a real pleasure year after year to see the pride and commitment of these young people," said Jessica Myre, CJEVS General Manager.
About the CJE de Vaudreuil-Soulanges
The CJE de Vaudreuil-Soulanges welcomes young people from any of the 23 municipalities in the territory of the regional municipality of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
The CJE aims to help young adults aged 15 to 35, whatever their economic situation, occupation or status, to improve their living conditions. It supports them in their efforts to find a job, return to school, or launch an entrepreneurial project (economic, community, artistic).
