3.1 million for the Quatre-Saisons school park in Vaudreuil-Dorion
The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion has awarded Charex a contract worth $3,104,325 to develop the Quatre-Saisons school park. A resolution to this effect was adopted at the last council meeting on Tuesday, September 5.
The park, located in the quadrilateral of Émile-Bouchard, Phil-Goyette, Toe-Blake and de l'Hymne-au-Printemps and des Légende schools, will include, among other things, playground equipment and urban furnishings designed with universal accessibility in mind.
Paths with lighting linking the different sections, playful and colorful pavement markings, the enhancement of the main entrance to the La Croisée building, the development of a parking lot and the planting of trees are also in the plans.
To encourage active transportation, several bike and scooter stands will also be installed.
Back in May, the Centre de services scolaires des Trois-Lacs inaugurated a synthetic soccer field on the school park site.
"The entire development is designed to meet the needs of users of all ages in the area. The Parc-école des Quatre-Saisons is the green space serving the largest population of Vaudreuil-Dorion, located in the TOD area of the Gare district. It is central and of prime importance to the quality of life of its various users," emphasizes the municipal administration.
Work will start this autumn and continue until spring 2024.
