The Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CACVS) is launching a call for projects for the artistic residency Regards: l'artiste au coeur de son territoire. The deadline for submissions is Monday, October 23 at 11:59 pm.

Submitting an application

Interested artists or collectives may submit a dossier containing the following elements:

  • An artistic curriculum vitae (including a link to the website or social networks, if applicable);
  • An artistic approach;
  • A letter of interest demonstrating the artist's motivation to use the space in the context of a public residency;
  • A description of the proposed creative project, in relation to the location and its environment, and the proposed schedule;
  • An exhaustive list of technical requirements (equipment, furniture, materials, etc.) for the project;

Projects will be evaluated according to the richness of the proposal in the context of an urban artistic residency. Proposals from all disciplines are accepted, subject to compatibility with the venue.

The space is available from November 13, 2023. The residency will last 10 weeks, excluding the holiday season (December 24 and 31, 2023).

The vernissage and/or residency exit event will take place on the evening of the CACVS Annual General Meeting (exact date to be confirmed, during the week of February 11, 2024).

The residency will include at least one informal meeting with the MRC council (council day) and a residency outing (exhibition, project presentation, performance, etc.) at the artist's convenience. This activity will be organized in collaboration with the CACVS.

Conditions of participation

  • Reside in one of the towns or municipalities of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges served by the CACVS;
  • Be a member of the CACVS;
  • Be available for the duration of the residency. A minimum attendance of 10 hours per week for 10 weeks is required (total of 100 hours);
  • Be available for the residency exit event.
