The Coop d'économie CSUR is once again holding its "mega" community garage sale to benefit its Social Development Fund. The event will take place on Saturday, September 9 at the COOP office in Ste-Marthe, 633 rue Principale.

Vaudreuil-Soulanges residents are invited to rent a space at a cost of $20 for the day - $35 will be required at the time of reservation, and $15 will be returned at the end of the event - to sell items they wish to dispose of.

For those who can't attend but would like to give a second life to their objects, we offer the possibility of donating them to the Coop. The Coop will be accepting donations at the CSUR office, on September 7 and 8.

In any case, set aside the day to come and see us! By coming early, you'll be the first to discover the treasures that have been accumulated by our members over the past two years!

11th edition of the garage sale

"This is a very precious event in our democratic life. For the 11th consecutive year, our volunteers and workers are working with great passion to help us raise as much money as possible to support vulnerable families and community organizations in the region," said Bianka Dupaul, Executive Director of the Social Development Fund.

The Social Development Fund was established by the CSUR Board of Directors in 2012, and CSUR invests a portion of its annual surpluses in the Fund, as well as all proceeds from lucrative community events, such as the garage sale.

To help replenish the Fund, members are invited to add a variable amount to each of their bills as an anonymous gesture of solidarity with less well-off members in their own communities.

As part of its activities, CSUR wishes to take concrete action to improve the quality of life of its members, and counts on them to contribute to enriching initiatives, or to ask for help if they need it!
