Four electric charging stations installed at Saint-Lazare
Over the past few weeks, Saint-Lazare's Parc Bédard has welcomed four new Level 2 electric charging stations. These are available to residents and visitors at a cost of $1 per hour.
The Town Council and the Service des Infrastructures de la Ville de Saint-Lazare jointly decided on the best location for the installation of the charging stations, which met all the criteria of Hydro-Québec's "4500 terminals" subsidy program.
The criteria to which the Town was subject were those in force at the time of its application in August 2022, namely proximity to the village core, proximity to existing electrical infrastructure, 24-hour public access, etc.
Its four charging stations are the first to be installed by the Town on municipal territory, and the only public chargers located in Saint-Lazare.
By meeting all the above-mentioned eligibility criteria, the Town has been accepted into Hydro-Québec's "4500 terminals" subsidy program. This meant that the cost of purchasing and installing the charging stations was covered by Hydro-Québec.
