By-election in L'Île-Perrot
A by-election is scheduled for October 15 in L'Île-Perrot, following the departure of district no. 5 councillor Kim Comeau. An advance polling day will be held on Sunday, October 8.
Anyone wishing to run for this position can do so at the office of the returning officer, located at Town Hall, until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 15.

Rules on political financing and the control of election expenses
Elections Québec wishes to remind you that the rules governing the financing of candidates and the control of election expenses apply throughout the election period, which will end at the close of polls on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
These rules stipulate in particular that :
- All candidates must be authorized to collect contributions, incur expenses, contract loans or use any material;
- Only electors have the right to make contributions;
- Election spending by political parties and candidates is limited;
- The public must be able to find out about the sources of financing and election expenses of political entities by consulting the annual financial reports and election expense reports filed with the city.
