The Saint-Zotique municipal council has tabled a notice of motion to reduce the speed limit on three of its streets. The by-law amending by-law 609 relating to the speed of vehicles on public roads is expected to be adopted at the next meeting or by the end of 2023.

"As the three streets in question are recognized as places where children play, we have decided to lower the speed limit from 40 km\h to 30 km\h," explained Mayor Yvon Chiasson on the subject.

The three streets targeted by this project are: 14th Avenue, 28th Avenue and rue Des Chênes.
