For the 2023-2024 school year, Saint-Thomas elementary school in Hudson will participate in the classroom assistance pilot project launched by the Ministère de l'Éducation in September 2022. Soulanges MNA Marilyne Picard made the announcement on Tuesday.

"I'm delighted that École Saint-Thomas will now be able to take advantage of this great pilot project. Our teachers do a remarkable job with young people, and they need support now more than ever. I'm convinced that this extra helping hand will benefit us all, and will certainly have a positive impact on our students," she declared.

The Classroom Assistants pilot project aims to deploy resources in primary schools. Classroom assistants support the teacher by carrying out non-teaching tasks.
