Errances: A second edition for the Vaudreuil-Dorion Performing Arts Festival
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is pleased to invite the public to take part in the second edition of Errances, the performing arts festival set to take place on September 8th and 9th in the following parks: Esther-Blondin, Le 405, Paul-Gérin-Lajoie and Maison-Valois.
By "performing arts" we refer to any choice of artistic expression involving a presentation rendered by an artist in front of an audience. The event will feature twenty or so performances, in addition to a closing show with several artists. Attendees will be treated to performances that include dancing, singing, theatre, puppetry, storytelling, music, poetry, circus acts…or something to please everyone!
“Errances invites spectators to experience astonishing artistic performances from every domain. This is an event that is completely different from what we normally offer to our citizens. For this second edition, we have chosen to involve four municipal parks located along the Bay of Vaudreuil, allowing people to move safely and easily from one place to another," explains Chloé Marcil, Head of Culture and Community Life for the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion has enlisted the services of Thomas Duret as Independent Curator to organize this festival. Artist Tina Marais was also commissioned to create the scenography for the event.
Bar service and food will be available at Parc Le 405 for the duration of the festival. Although some seating will be provided for visitors in the parks, guests are invited to bring their chairs to ensure their comfort during the performances.
Details and schedules for this free event are available on the City's website. In case of uncertain weather, please call 450 424-8502 to make sure the activity is taking place.
