An outpouring of flavours, fiery music and family festivities marked the 9th edition of the Festival Régional de la Grillade de Saint-Zotique.

Despite uncertain forecasts and threats of rain, the skies smiled on organizers and festival-goers alike, providing the perfect sunny day for this summer celebration. The event, which took place with electrifying energy at Plage de Saint-Zotique on Saturday August 19, was a resounding success, bringing together an enthusiastic and lively crowd.

Festival-goers turned out in droves to take part in an effervescent culinary competition, enlivened by a variety of entertaining activities for young and old. The music stage was lit up by rising new country star Matt Lang, who delivered a memorable performance, marking an unforgettable evening of outdoor music.

Culinary competition results:

The grillers in the commercial section competed with ingenuity and talent to offer their gastronomic creations to a demanding jury. The commercial winners are as follows

- First place: La Boucherie Mario;
- Second place: Le Taco Shack - Par Création Passion Traiteur Inc;
- Third place: Au Coin du Feu;

The amateur category also impressed with its creative and tasty grills. The winners of the amateur category were

- First place: Les Chauves;
- Second place: Les Farfadets;
- Third place: La Famille. 

A day for everyone

The Festival Régional de la Grillade de Saint-Zotique isn't just about food and music. Festival-goers also enjoyed a myriad of family activities, from a mechanical bull to fun animations. The day ended on a high note with a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the night sky, giving way to sparkling memories.

Renowned country artist Francis Degrandpré opened the evening with a heart-stopping performance. His charismatic voice and genuine talent created a warm atmosphere, transporting festival-goers into a spellbinding musical universe. This opening act set the stage for Matt Lang's performance, a rising star of new country. With his magnetic presence and electrifying energy, Matt Lang set the stage on fire, delivering a breathtaking musical experience. Festival-goers danced and sang along to his hits, creating memories that will stay with them forever.
