Resurfacing work in Rigaud starting this Wednesday
The City of Rigaud advises its residents that the resurfacing work initially scheduled for July is finally scheduled to start on Wednesday, August 23, subject to favorable weather conditions.
Priority will be given to rue Edgar-Séguin to avoid heavy equipment traffic on chemin Saint-François during MTMD work the week of August 23.
Priority will also be given to the longest stretches to avoid, as far as possible, imposing long detours, particularly during the back-to-school period.
The following streets will be partially or completely resurfaced:
- Rue Edgar-Séguin;
- Chemin Saint-Georges (between rue Diane and rue Gauthier);
- Chemin St-Georges (between chemin Cabot and chemin des Arbres);
- Chemin des Arbres (for about 500 m);
- Rue Gauthier;
- Chemin Bourget (for approx. 1 km);
- Rue Saint-François Nord (north of rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste O.);
- Chemin de la Pointe-au-Sable (between chemin du Grand-Quai and rue Létourneau);
- Rue Létourneau (between chemin de la Pointe-au-Sable and chemin des Roseaux);
- Rue Girard
The work, which will last approximately 2 weeks, will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Local traffic will be kept under control by flagmen.
Every effort will be made to minimize impacts during the work, including dust, noise and temporarily limited access to private entrances, says the Ville de Rigaud.
In the event of unfavorable weather conditions or operational constraints, the work may be postponed or extended.
