Fans of grilled meats and good music flocked to the municipal beach this Saturday for the 9th edition of the Festival Régional de la Grillade de Saint-Zotique.

True to form, the municipality treated its citizens to an unforgettable evening of country music, headlined by rising new country star Matt Lang.

According to his website, Lang is one of "Canada's most promising new country artists. Matt Lang possesses a powerful vocal timbre and salient charisma. In spring 2018, he headed to Nashville to record his first English-language album, even though he didn't yet speak a word of English. Produced by Danick Dupelle, a Quebec producer who has lived in Nashville for nearly 18 years and is a member of the popular Emerson Drive group (multiple CCMA Awards, Billboard Top New Artist, Academy of Country Music/Top New Vocal Group, etc.), the opus quickly found itself at the top of the English-language sales charts in Quebec, alongside Paul McCartney and Eminem, in addition to being #1 in country sales on iTunes in Canada."

The culinary competition: a firework display of flavours

The Festival Régional de la Grillade de Saint-Zotique kicked off its festivities with an effervescent culinary competition, where competitors vied for the title of best grill. Who came out on top? Results to be announced later this week.

A day of family fun

The Festival Régional de la Grillade de Saint-Zotique is not only a celebration of music and cuisine, but also a party for the whole family. On the beach site, a variety of activities await young and old, guaranteeing a memorable day for all. These include a mechanical bull, exciting entertainment and fireworks.

In addition to the aforementioned activities, visitors could take advantage of the beach's water sports facilities for a day of fun and adventure.

Food trucks served up a variety of gastronomic delights to satisfy every culinary craving, while the artisans' corridor presented unique creations for shopping enthusiasts.
