Place à Saint-Clet en fête on August 25 and 26
The Municipality of Saint-Clet has come up with a great way to make the most of the last few days of vacation before returning to school and the daily routine. On August 25 and 26, it will welcome its citizens to its grounds for the 2023 edition of Saint-Clet en fête.
Citizens who are able to attend are invited to do so on foot. For those unable to do so, parking will be available at 4 rue du Moulin (community hall).
Shows will be held under the big top at 25 rue Piché, near the library.
Programming for the whole family
The festivities kick off on Friday evening, August 25, at 7:30 p.m., when singer-songwriter Laurent Barsalou, who is also a real-life firefighter, takes to the stage until 10 p.m..
For those who'd like a bite to eat, Le Shack à patates will be on hand selling hamburgers, hot dogs and grilled meats. Soft drinks, juices and products from Brasserie du Bois Blanc will also be available. Sweet tooths can enjoy desserts from Biscuit pas cuit.
The following day, August 26, the fun starts at 2 p.m. and runs until midnight. Interested families will be able to enjoy a range of on-site activities, including a paddling pool and pedal-boat, mini-golf, a humorous games course, pedal-powered racing cars and a mini grand-prix with buggies for the little ones. Face-painting and entertainment with stilt-walkers are scheduled from 2pm to 6pm.
A mobile farm will also be on site from 3pm to 5pm for animal lovers.
On the entertainment front, the Jugband Trio will take to the stage from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.Then, from 9pm to midnight, DJ Kingdom will get nostalgic fans dancing to the hits of the 1990s and 2000s.
Ready-to-drink products from Distillerie 3 Lacs will be on sale throughout the festivities, and 100% of profits and tips will be donated to Sports Inclusifs Sud-Ouest for the purchase of wheelchairs.
