In August
Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi Vaudreuil-Soulanges tours the region
For the entire month of August, Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi will be hitting the roads of Vaudreuil-Soulanges to meet with 15-35 year-olds and introduce them to its services. Between now and August 24, four stops are scheduled in Saint-Polycarpe, Pointe-des-Cascades, Saint-Clet and Rigaud.
Here is the Zone CJE tour schedule:
- Tuesday, August 15: Boucherie Saint-Polycarpe from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m;
- Thursday, August 17: Village des Écluses in Pointe-des-Cascades from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m;
- Tuesday, August 22: Marché mobile Saint-Clet (Church) from 3pm to 5pm;
- Thursday, August 24: Parc Chartier-de-Lotbinière in Rigaud from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"We offer a number of on-site services, including CV design, correction or updating, job search assistance, occasional questions about the school system, loan and bursary simulation, and even interview practice," Talia Pépin of CJE-VS told Néomédia by e-mail.
This is the first time since its founding that the organization has toured the region. Why such an exercise? "We want to be known by all young adults aged 15 to 35. We have so many services and we want to meet people to discuss their needs," she added.
How were the stops determined? Initially, the organization wanted to focus on the Soulanges municipalities, since public transport is more difficult there. "We offer zoom services for those who have no means of transportation.We also organize face-to-face meetings when a young person needs one in his or her municipality," she continued.
Finally, what can people expect when they come to the CJE-VS? "We can offer them a service and answer questions about finding a job, going back to school or any other project that interests them. They can expect to meet dynamic people who are passionate about their professions, with a mission to help young people find a project that thrills them," she concludes.
