Très-Saint-Rédempteur mourns the loss of its former general manager
It is with great sadness that the council and administration of the municipality of Très-Saint-Rédempteur learned of the death, on July 31, of Mrs. Lise Couët, former Director General.
Ms. Couët was an important member of the municipal administration, thanks to her personality, skills and knowledge, which she put at the service of the community for 30 years, between 1981 and 2011. Among other things, she worked on the installation of the Municipal Library inside the Community Centre and its opening in 1988. She also saw the population of the territory grow from 417 to 863, and managed this growth while preserving the municipality's identity and adapting municipal services.
Ms. Couët was one of the four (4) founding members of the Coop CSUR in 2006, which was created in response to the need of Très-Saint-Rédempteur residents for high-speed Internet access. Today, it is a regional multiservice cooperative based in the municipality of Sainte-Marthe.
Ms. Couët worked under the mandates of mayors Gérald Conrad Neault (1979-1982), Claude Sabourin (1982-1993), Serge Brazeau (1993-1997) and Jean A. Lalonde (1997-2017).
"The municipality has had the privilege of benefiting from Ms. Couët's generosity, and has had the pleasure of rubbing shoulders with her at municipal events in recent years. She will certainly be part of our community's history," said Julie Lemieux, Mayor of the Municipality of Très-Saint-Rédempteur.
The members of the Municipal Council and the administrative staff of the Municipality wish to offer their most sincere condolences to the entire family.
