Septic tank emptying continues in Rigaud's North sector
Ville de Rigaud wishes to inform its residents that septic tank emptying will continue in the northern sector of its territory until September 30. The operation has been underway since Monday, May 15, by Services de rebuts Soulanges.
Until the end of September, the company will be carrying out the annual emptying of septic tanks on properties in "Secteur NORD", notably those located north of Highway 40 (Anse, Bas-de-la-Rivière, de la Baie, Grande-Ligne, Pointe-à-la-Raquette, Pointe-Séguin, Saint-François, Sauvé, etc.) and the Rigaud River. ) and the Rigaud River, notably Chemin Saint-Thomas, Chemin du Haut-de-la-Chute and Chemin de la Fourche. The operation takes place Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Saturday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Residents who have not yet received a visit from the contractor will receive a letter from the company 15 days before the visit. On the day of the scheduled emptying, homeowners must:
- Prepare access to their installation according to the instructions specified in the "Managing septic tank emptying" tab in the sanitary installations section of the website;
A presence is not required at the time of emptying (unless otherwise specified).
The contractor will leave a door hanger as proof of emptying (the official copy is sent to the Town and can be obtained from the Urban Planning Department).
Since 2011, the Ville de Rigaud has managed the emptying of septic tanks throughout its territory. Tanks located in the "northern sector" are emptied in odd-numbered years, while those in the "southern sector" (Route 201, Chemin J.-René-Gauthier, Mont Rigaud, Chemin des Érables, Bourget, Coteau and Petit-Brûlé, etc.) are emptied in even-numbered years.
