Another eventful week is coming to an end. Here's what's been in the news in Vaudreuil-Soulanges over the past few days.

The City of Coteau-du-Lac is calling for artisans

Although summer is well and truly upon us, the City of Coteau-du-Lac is already hard at work organizing its traditional Christmas Market, and is putting out a call to local artisans and producers.

Jeux du Québec: a successful mission for athletes from the Sud-Ouest

The atmosphere was festive at the closing ceremony of the 57th Finale des Jeux du Québec - Rimouski 2023.

"Participants from the Sud-Ouest had a lot of fun during these Games. The athletes delivered fine performances, some stood out and everyone had a memorable experience," sums up Chef de Mission Antoine Lépine-Perreault.

Body retrieved from the municipal wharf in Les Cèdres

The body of a man, whose identity has yet to be determined, was recovered from the waters of the St. Lawrence River at the end of the municipal wharf in Les Cèdres on Monday morning.

Monarch butterfly: run 4,500 km to draw attention to this endangered species  

The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion was pleased to support ultramarathoner Anthony Battah in his mission to draw public attention to the vulnerability of the monarch butterfly. This support took the form of his welcome to the municipal territory on Saturday, July 29. 

Justin Lafleur on his way to the UK to compete in the BMX World Championships   

This Sunday, young coteaulac rider Justin Lafleur will take part in the most important competition of his BMX career. The 13-year-old will take to the track at the BMX World Championships in Glasgow, UK.

A new exhibition at the Saint-Lazare municipal library 

The municipal library of Saint-Lazare will be hosting an exhibition of works by artist Pim Sekeris from Thursday August 3 to August 31. Born in Holland and a graduate of the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts, he has made Saint-Lazare his home.

Five escape games to discover at Verger Labonté  

Verger Labonté announces the return, since August 3, of escape games in its corn mazes. This year's theme is POMANJI, an adventure inspired by the heart of Africa.
