Saint-Télesphore firefighters donate $3,000 to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation
The Lave-o-Thon held by firefighters from the Saint-Télesphore Fire Department on Sunday raised a whopping $3,000 for the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.
Many citizens took advantage of the sunny day to have their vehicles washed for the cause. Many of the municipality's firefighters took part in the event, as did the Au combat pour elles group from the Association des pompiers instructeurs du Québec.
Among other things, the event was organized in support of a member of the Saint-Télesphore Fire Department, whose mother is currently battling breast cancer.
Julien Dagenais, a firefighter with the brigade, would like to thank all those who had their cars washed for the cause, as well as the municipal administration and everyone else involved in the event.
