Rain and thunderstorms will kick off the construction vacations, as Environment Canada issues a severe thunderstorm watch for Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

A total of 30 to 50 millimeters of rain are expected through tomorrow. However, amounts could exceed 50 millimeters locally under thunderstorms.

This precipitation could cause water accumulations on roads. A risk of flooding, especially in the lowlands, has also been issued by Environment Canada.

Fortunately, for the thousands of workers who will be on vacation, the sun will be back on Sunday and, according to forecasts, should remain shining for several days.
