The Municipalité des Coteaux announce the return of its Maisons fleuries contest, a community initiative aimed at rewarding residents and businesses who beautify their property with exceptional floral arrangements.

This year, the contest is divided into three categories to celebrate floral beauty in all its forms: Single-family homes, Balconies in Bloom (for apartments and condos) and Commercial Beautification.

By encouraging participation from all members of the community, the Municipalité des Coteaux hopes to create a veritable haven of greenery and color.

The House in Bloom contest is open to all residents and businesses of Les Coteaux.

To take part, all you have to do is register by calling the Recreation Department at 450 267-3531, ext. 232. Entries will be open until August 7.

Jury to decide

A jury made up of horticultural experts and representatives of the Municipalité des Coteaux will be on hand to evaluate participants in each category.

Evaluation criteria will include landscape design, use of plants and flowers, originality, maintenance and overall visual impact.

Winners in each category will be awarded a prize, as well as a certificate of recognition for their achievements.

Three prizes worth $150 each will be offered in partnership with Del Esta Centre jardin and Les Serres Van de Walle, local players with a passion for horticulture.

These prizes will enable the winners to purchase quality products and plants to continue embellishing their property and cultivating their love of gardening.
