This Thursday and Friday
Investigation of the Saint-Polycarpe sewer system continues
The Municipality of Saint-Polycarpe continues to investigate its sewer system.
Can-Explore has been mandated by the Municipality to carry out investigations in the sanitary sewer system by injecting smoke into the pipes.
Lasting approximately 30 minutes, the tests involve introducing a non-toxic, residue-free white smoke into the sanitary sewer system to detect connections that should not be connected to the system, as well as any leaks.
While smoke should not normally enter residences, if it does, close the opening where the smoke is coming from with a damp cloth, and ventilate the home by opening doors and windows.
The Municipality reminds residents not to contact the Fire Department in the event of smoke ingress.
The sectors targeted this Thursday are:
- chemin de l'Église;
- rue Élie-Auclair;
- rue du Parc;
- a portion of rue Gauthier;
- rue Legault.
Work will continue this Friday in the following sectors:
- route 340;
- rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste;
- rue des Prés
- the second part of rue Gauthier.
