Firefighters visit young campers in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot

Some 200 children from the Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot day camp had a very special visit this Wednesday, July 19, at Carrefour Notre-Dame.

The Pincourt/NDIP fire prevention brigade organized an awareness-raising activity on fire prevention and how children should behave at home in the event of an emergency.

Youngsters had the chance to visit a first responder and fire truck. Members of the department also presented the various components of the firefighters' full-body suit, which can sometimes be quite frightening for children.

Finally, the activity ended with firefighter-themed water games: aiming at a target with the fire hose and spraying each other with water to cool off.

Overall, the day was a great success for both campers and firefighters.
