Two Pincourt residents have sent an open letter to Néomédia expressing their gratitude to Pincourt mayor Claude Comeau for his handling of the ice storm crisis last April.

Here is the letter in full:

There is no other like the mayor of Pincourt. Supported by his wonderful council, we were not expecting it but during the last power outage, in April, they opened our omni-centre to the public allowing us to get warmed up for it was cold in our houses. They hired a catering service and allowed us to work on our laptops and charge our cell phones. It was great for the self-employed and those who work from home.

We could go and have a coffee at any time and even have a shower all at no cost. So, although the power was out for four days, we didn’t lack for anything.
A thousand thank-you’s to our mayor, Claude Comeau, and his council. This is a council that cares for its citizens.

Two grateful citizens
