More than a week after a little girl was found at the bottom of the family pool in Rigaud, the Sûreté du Québec has confirmed the death of the two-year-old. 

The toddler died as a result of the tragedy on Friday, July 7. The child had fallen into the family pool at around 6:30 p.m. on July 3. 

"The investigation is continuing, in particular to determine whether or not there was criminal negligence in connection with the events," confirms Valérie Beauchamp, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
