Roch Voisine will celebrate Ville de Saint-Lazare's equestrian heritage on August 19 as one of the highlights of Festi Ouest.

On Thursday, Ville de Saint-Lazare unveiled the program for the new festivities replacing the Quebec and Canada Day celebrations, to be held on August 19 and 20 in Parc Bédard.

Named Festi Ouest, in recognition of the town's geographic location, the celebrations will celebrate the town's equestrian heritage.

The family-friendly event will feature a wide range of country-style activities, including games of skill, line-dancing sessions, chansonniers, a carnival and horse-drawn carriage rides.

For the musical component, the town has called on none other than Roch Voisine. He'll be taking to the Parc Bédard stage on Saturday August 19 at 8pm to perform his greatest hits. 

Beauharnois singer-songwriter Andie Therio will open the show at 7pm.
