A major power outage is currently affecting all four municipalities on île Perrot.
The Hydro-Québec website reports the outage began at 2:51 p.m. because of equipment failure and is affecting 17,430 customers - 5,818 in L'Île-Perrot, 4,485 in Notre Dame de l'île-Perrot, 6,206 in Pincourt and 917 in Terrasse-Vaudreuil.
The power failure is also affecting two customers in Vaudreuil-Dorion. No information is yet available as to when power will be restored.
