Friday nights
Rock and roll, drag queen, Latin night and karaoké at Le 405 this summer
From July 3 to August 27, Parc Le 405 once again promises visitors a great time of relaxation, laughter, fun and discovery. From 6 to 10 p.m., Friday evenings will be especially festive, with four evening events featuring live entertainment and two film presentations (July 14 and August 4).
Concepts include rockabilly night (July 7), Elton John tribute (July 21), Latin night (August 11) and drag queen and karaoke night (August 25).
To kick off the themed Fridays, pianist Israel Proulx will set the stage ablaze with the best of the '50s on July 7.
The curious can also explore the musical style of the era during a rockabilly dance class with Studio Jive, at 7:30 p.m.
On July 21, starting at 7:30 p.m., Le 405 will host the Elton Songs show, revisiting the British singer's greatest classics, performed by the group dressed as Elton John in the 1970s and 1980s.
The show has been presented in major venues such as the Capitole de Québec, the Casino de Montréal and Club Square Dix30.
To wink at summer, Le 405 will transport festival-goers to Cuba for the Latin evening on August 11. The band Andy Rubal & Son del Sun will offer a happy mix of French, American and Latin hits with traditional Cuban music, funk and cha-cha-cha.
Those interested can also attend a salsa class given by Baila Productions, at 7 p.m.
Finally, on August 25, Rainbow Drag and guests will deliver a humorous and colorful performance. Karaoke fans will also be able to hit the dance floor at 9 p.m.
Twice during the summer, Parc Le 405 will be transformed into an outdoor cinema, with films for the whole family. These include Super Mario Bros. The Movie (July 14) and Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom (August 4). Please bring your own chairs and blankets.
