In Soulanges riding
Quebec invests over $240,000 in three schools
Three schools in the Soulanges riding will be receiving financial assistance from Québec for their schoolyard embellishment projects.
The MNA for Soulanges, Marilyne Picard, made the announcement in a press release on Monday. A total of $240,579 will be divided between the Immaculée-Conception school in Saint-Télesphore, the Sacré-Coeur school in Saint-Polycarpe and the Forrest Hill school in Saint-Lazare.
"Thanks to these investments, local students will have the chance to attend a renewed, lively and well-designed socializing space. This is very important, because schoolyards are also places where our young people grow and develop. I would like to thank all the partners who contributed to the preliminary phases of these projects," said Ms. Picard.
The schoolyard landscaping projects will ensure optimal use in all seasons, in addition to offering a variety of activities and games for youngsters.
Students will benefit from outdoor spaces that encourage physical activity. An active lifestyle contributes to a better attitude towards learning in the classroom.
