Garage 529
Online platform makes it easier to find lost and stolen bikes

Par John Jantak, Journaliste
Do you love your bike? If so, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) advises owners to register their bikes onto the Garage 529 online platform by uploading information about the model, serial number, color, other details and up to five photos.
If your bike is stolen, the platform will activate an alert which will be broadcast in real time to members of the Garage 529 community which will make it easier trace it and improve the odds your bike will be found.
Reporting a stolen bike
If your bike is stolen, report it to the police. You will also have to make an insurance claim.
If the bike is registered on the 529 Garage online platform, select your bike and issue an alert.
Step 1
If you haven't already done so, register your bike on the 529 Garage website or mobile app. Then select your bike and issue an alert.
Step 2
Contact your local SQ police station. More information is available at https://project529.com/garage/organizations/surete_du_quebec/landing and https://www.sq.gouv.qc.ca/nous-joindre/
