Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made an impromptu visit to pick strawberries this afternoon at Le Ferme Quinn in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot.
Trudeau spent over an hour visiting the farm, touring the facilities and chatting with visitors. He was joined by Peter Schiefke, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Member of Parliament.
The Prime Minister paid the entry fee upon his arrival, got his admission ticket and enjoyed a short tractor ride to the strawberry fields.
Trudeau spent about 15 minutes with Schiefke admiring and sampling the abundant crop as they filled up their baskets.
He later met with farm staff and toured the facilities. Trudeau also took the time to chat and take photos with visitors.
