Pincourt town council was honoured to receive not one, but four Chaises des générations (Generations' Chairs) at its regular council meeting on June 13.
The project was initiated by Mères au Front to make elected officials aware that the decisions they make today will determine the future of our youth and the environment.
The chairs were created by students from the town's four primary and secondary school.
They represent the voices of the children and teenagers who will make up the democratic society of tomorrow and enable them to articulate their expectations to today's decision-makers, according to the town's press release.
The Chaises des générations are on display at the entrance to the Omni-Centre, in the council room at the Omni-Centre, in the mayor's office at city hall and at the municipal library.
Mères au Front extended their warmest thanks to all the students and teachers in Pincourt who took part in the successful project and especially Shantala Hickey, spokesperson for the Mères au front Vaudreuil-Soulanges group.
