A great nautical program in Vaudreuil-Dorion

The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is proud to offer its citizens a diversified nautical and aquatic programming throughout the summer. These activities will take place on in Vaudreuil Bay, accessible via the Maison-Valois park, and at the outdoor pools : Sainte-Madeleine (14, rue Sainte-Madeleine) and Saint-Jean-Baptiste (150, avenue de la Fabrique).

Paddle-boarding and kayaking are also available. Two guided tours are scheduled for June 17 and July 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Beginners will also have the opportunity to take a Paddle Canada-accredited course, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m, on June 20, July 11, August 1 or 22. Places are limited, register at 514 581-5209.

Boaters can also take a kayak out on the water to admire the sunset. This activity will take place on July 8, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on July 22, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Registration is required at 514 703-1515.

For the Fête du nautisme, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion will be offering free rental to its residents on Saturday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For the occasion, the Caravane Mozaïk and a street truck will be on site. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed until July 9.

Various boats are available for rental at Maison-Valois Park, including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and pedal boats. A valid piece of identification, with address and photo, is required to qualify for the resident rate.

Outdoor pools

For the enjoyment of everyone, the Town will be offering free swims on Thursdays, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with an inflatable structure on the water. Access is open to Vaudreuil-Dorion residents, and no reservation is necessary.

Weather permitting, the structure will be installed at the Sainte-Madeleine pool on July 6, 20 and August 3, and at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste pool on July 13, 27 and August 10.

New this year: the City will be marking National Drowning Prevention Week, from July 16 to July 22, with special activities designed to draw citizens' attention to this issue. Information booths, contests, demonstrations and drills will be held. 

The official program will be unveiled in July.
