Groupe Sanivac has completed the largest transaction in its history with the acquisition of Excavac, a company that specializes in hydro-excavation on June 10.
The acquisition brings together two major players in hydro-excavation to offer the construction industry the best in terms of inventory, service and quality.
Groupe Sanivac is based in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot and Excavac is located in Saint Hyacinthe and Quebec City.
"This transaction will help us continue Excavac's growth and take on new challenges in the short term in a field we are passionate about," said Patrick De Sylva, Director of Operations for Excavac.
"Groupe Sanivac is a Quebec jewel and we are proud to be associated with the Kelly family. It's essential for us to preserve our businesses here and contribute to Quebec's development," De Sylva added.
Merger combines forces
Excavac co-founders Patrick De Sylva and Steve Savoie and their team will provide the same service and customers will benefit from other services provided by Groupe Sanivac.
"Our merger will create a strike force of about 50 hydrovacs, the largest fleet in Quebec. Excavac's long-standing expertise in the construction industry is a very important asset for our team," said Vincent Kelly, CEO of Groupe Sanivac.
"We enthusiastically welcome De Sylva, Savoie, their 60 member team and clientele to our new Excavac banner. We thank you for your confidence," said Kelly.
A promising future
The acquisition means a geographical expansion into Saint-Hyacinthe and Quebec City which is in line with the group's growth strategy.
Groupe Sanivac will expand into the National Capital region this year and begin offering all its services in 2024.
Services include portable toilet and sanitary trailer rentals and services, septic tank and grease trap emptying, sewer and urban infrastructure cleaning, steam de-icing, all kinds of pumping and more.
