The Sûreté du Québec has deployed a command post in the Chemin Sainte-Angélique area of Saint-Lazare in connection with the disappearance of Kevin Baboolal.

Ground search operations are underway with the assistance of walkers, quad riders and members of the equestrian team.

Baboolal, 36, has been missing since May 18. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a brown and beige hoodie, sunglasses and a black bicycle helmet. He may be riding his Schwinn mountain bike. On the back of his bike was a trailer similar to the one in the photo.

Kevin Baboolal is 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in) tall, weighs 68 kg (150 lb) and has brown eyes and hair.

"We encourage people to keep an eye out when out and about on their bikes. If they see the bike or Mr. Baboolal, or anything that might help us in our search, they can contact the Sûreté du Québec's Central Criminal Information Unit at 1 800 659-4264," said SQ spokesperson Valérie Beauchamp.
