A young driver crashed head on into a traffic light pole at the intersection of boulevard de la Gare and rue Forbes in Vaudreuil-Dorion around midnight.

For some unknown reason, the vehicle with four people on board ended up on the centre median and hit the pole. Vaudreuil-Dorion firefighters and first responders including CETAM paramedics were called to the scene to assist the victims.

According to Valérie Beauchamp, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, there was no criminal element involved in the crash. “We are talking about a material collision. There were no injuries and all the victims refused to be taken to the hospital," said Beauchamp.
