The parade of emergency vehicles which is renowned for the slow drive they make through the town with sirens blaring from its starting point all the way to Bellevue Park to the delight of spectators who line the route will be held on August 12.

The event name was changed from Firefighters’ Day to Pincourt Day to better reflect its mission and the changes that have occurred in the town since it was first held, according to a press release issued by the town.

Gregory Charles and his musicians will be back to entertain attendees at Bellevue Park with a wide-ranging musical repertoire to celebrate his 35-year musical career. He will treat the audience to several musical styles including pop, rock, disco, country, blues, and alternative.

Charles’ musical repertoire will feature hits from current and past stars, including The Beatles, Bruno Mars, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Elvis - aka the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Kings of Leon, ABBA, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, James Arthur, Lewis Capaldi, Harmonium, Muse, Céline Dion and Dua Lipa.

DJ Steve Watt will host the event. He is renowned local deejay and music producer for several local radio shows on CKOI 96.9 and The Beat 92.5. DJ Steve Watt knows his audience and has deejayed more than 1,500 events including corporate parties, festivals, launches and much more.

Mayor Claude Comeau says Pincourt Day is a summer tradition and calls the emergency vehicle parade an ‘iconic event’.

“As a Pincourt citizen for the past 60 years, I always look forward to this summer party where families come together. It’s a great honour to welcome Gregory Charles back for a third time. This demonstrates the quality of our event," said Comeau.

More details will be announced as the event draws near.
