Temporary measures for flood victims in the Ecocentres network
The MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges announces temporary measures at the ecocentres located in Vaudreuil-Dorion and Rigaud to accommodate citizens who have residual materials to dispose of due to the flooding. The goal is to ensure that these materials are recovered through the ecocentre network and not disposed of.
The affected citizens are invited to use the ecocenter network and the Tricycle tool to dispose of their materials accepted by the network.
- Vaudreuil-Dorion (2800 Henry-Ford Street, Vaudreuil-Dorion);
Tuesday to Sunday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Rigaud (32 de la Coopérative Street, Rigaud);
Monday, Thursday and Friday: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9 am to 4 pm
Please note that there will be no volume limit or fees for materials brought to the Ecocentre Network by people who have been flooded. Citizens will have to identify themselves as flood victims to the ecocentre staff (photo ID and proof of residence).
The materials accepted will remain the same as usual, including construction materials and metal and non-metal bulky items. Materials that have been in contact with water will now be accepted during the spring flood recovery period.
Citizens who would like to obtain more information and consult the list of accepted materials can visit www.tricycle-mrcvs.ca or call 450-455-5434 to reach the Info-Ecocentre line.
In anticipation of the recovery period, the MRC is still evaluating whether there will be a need for additional measures within the Ecocentre Network.
When the time comes, the MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges will put in place the necessary means to meet the needs of citizens in the exceptional context of the 2023 flood.
