A $2M investment
A Second Chair Lift Will be Installed at Mont Rigaud
Mont Rigaud announces the acquisition of a second chairlift. The investment of more than $2M is expected to be completed for the 2024-2025 season.
The new equipment is currently in operation at Versant des Épinettes in Bromont. The chairlift is a Poma quadruple lift and is equipped with a Chairkit boarding mat, just like the one already in place at Mont Rigaud.
"The addition of this second chair will allow us to meet the growing demand of the region's ski community and meet the mountain's development objectives. In the context of strong price growth, Mont Rigaud considers this acquisition to be an important business opportunity and a unique chance to get its hands on equipment that is very well maintained and in excellent condition," said the mountain's administration in a press release.
The dismantling of the Bromont lift will begin next spring. It will then be transported to Mont Rigaud. "This is an exhaustive project involving a lot of work such as engineering, site preparation, foundations, assembly of structures and components, and finally inspections to meet current safety and compliance standards," the administration concluded.
