Ecoprojects Community Fund: Vaudreuil-Dorion calls for projects
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is inviting citizens, citizen groups, non-profit organizations and public institutions on its territory to submit their grant applications for the realization of environmental projects that will benefit the entire community through the Ecoprojects Community Fund.
Interested parties have until February 28 to submit their projects to the City's Environment Department. The selected initiatives will receive up to $5,000 for the realization of their project.
The Ecoprojects Community Fund is part of the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, Inhabited by my City, and promotes citizen participation.
It aims to encourage initiatives that promote the environment and its protection, in connection with the themes of the Environmental Policy of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, namely the protection of water resources, urban agriculture, waste materials, adaptation to climate change and biodiversity and natural environments.
In 2022, three projects were retained by the selection committee, namely the construction of a bike stop by L'Atelier paysan, the Jardin de l'avenir by the Centre Belles-Rives and the training project for the repair of electric bikes by the Zèbre Rouge.
To submit an application
Applications must be sent to the Environment Section via email. The projects submitted will then be analyzed by the Environment Section to validate if they are compliant and complete in order to be eligible.
A selection committee will then evaluate the project according to the evaluation grid. Only projects that meet the minimum score of 40/60 on the evaluation grid and the minimum score required for criteria 4 and 5 on the evaluation grid will be funded by resolution of City Council, subject to available funds.
Full details and the application form can be found on the City's website under the heading: environmental initiatives.
