After being excluded from the Shadow Cabinet, the MNA for Vaudreuil, Marie-Claude Nichols, has just been excluded from the Liberal Party Caucus.

The news came in the last few hours and was confirmed by Liberal Caucus Chair and Marquette MNA, Enrico Ciccone.

« I was a bit shaken by it, but at the same time, we've said it all along. We are heading in a different direction ... Everyone must leave their ego at the door »,  he said in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.

Marie-Claude Nichols aspired to the position of third vice-president of the National Assembly. However, the role was given to the MNA for Viau. Other responsibilities were offered to the member for Vaudreuil, but she refused them all.

« We cannot have an experienced person who has been at the National Assembly for several terms, say that it is this or nothing. For me, this is unacceptable », added the MNA for Marquette.

Everything leads us to believe that Marie-Claude Nichols will represent the riding of Vaudreuil as an independent MNA. This information has yet to be confirmed.
